
Muhammad Gumel named new vice-chancellor for Federal University Dutse
The Federal University Dutse in Jigawa State has announced the appointment of Prof. Muhammad Gumel as its fourth substantive Vice-Chancellor. The decision was made by the university’s Governing Council during an extraordinary meeting on June 8, 2024. Prof. Shu’aibu Abdulrahim, the council chairman, confirmed that the appointment will take effect from February 10, 2026. Prof. Gumel has pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessor.
