NYSC introduces AI and app development to boost youth skills
The National Youth Service Corps has revamped its skill acquisition programme to include modern digital skills. Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu announced the changes during a stakeholders’ summit in Abuja on June 5, 2025. The new curriculum aims to better prepare corps members for today’s job market and global opportunities. Over 3 million youths have already benefited from NYSC’s entrepreneurship training since 2012.

- Since 2012, more than 3.18 million corps members have completed entrepreneurship training, with over 30,000 businesses registered.
- A new ₦2 billion MSME loan fund was launched in partnership with the Bank of Industry to support corps entrepreneurs.
