Ogun monarch launches Adire hub to support local textile makers
The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, has inaugurated a new Adire Hub at the Ake Palace in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The project aims to boost local Adire production and help indigenous textile makers access both domestic and international markets. The hub, promoted by Global Adire Egba Development Limited and ICLED Business School, will offer training, skills development, and financing opportunities for Adire producers. Key stakeholders say the initiative will also help fight the importation of fake Adire fabrics and promote authentic local designs.
