
Fire damages six shops at Lagos mechanic village
A fire broke out at the Aswani Mechanic Village in the Isolo area of Lagos State, destroying six shops. According to Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, the blaze was triggered by a power surge. Emergency teams responded quickly and managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other workshops. No lives were lost, and all traders and artisans were safely evacuated.
