Adeleke leads in Osun governorship election with most local government wins
Ademola Adeleke, the incumbent Osun State Governor and Accord Party candidate, has emerged as the frontrunner in the state governorship election. Results from the Independent National Electoral Commission collation centre show that he secured the highest votes in 19 out of 30 local government areas. His main rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, led in 11 areas, making the race competitive in several regions. The final declaration by the state’s Returning Officer is still pending.
