UBEC renovates Lagos school to help dropout girls return to learning
The Universal Basic Education Commission has rehabilitated the Alternative High School for Girls in Agboju, Lagos State, aiming to support girls and young women whose education was interrupted. Dr Aisha Garba, UBEC’s Executive Secretary, emphasized the importance of providing alternative learning pathways for those affected by issues like pregnancy, early marriage, or family responsibilities. The intervention includes improvements in infrastructure and learning facilities to ensure every child has access to quality education. President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu were commended for their commitment to education and empowerment.
