Sultan urges Muslims to watch for new moon on August 13
The Sultanate Council, Sokoto State Chapter has called on Muslims to look for the new moon of Rabi’ul Awwal 1448 AH. The announcement was made in a statement signed by Prof. Sambo Wali Junaidu. The council emphasized the importance of reporting any sightings to traditional authorities. Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, will receive reports for onward communication.
