Three ESUT law students suspended for exam malpractice
Three law students from Enugu State University of Science and Technology have been suspended for examination malpractice. The university’s Registrar, Ambrose Ugwu, confirmed that the suspension will last for two academic years. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, approved the disciplinary action based on recommendations from the Senate Examinations Malpractice Committee. Another student, Goodluck Iwuamadi, was cleared of similar allegations.
What happened
- The suspension, effective from June 25, 2026, will last until June 24, 2028.
- The affected students are Isong Ugwu, Gad Nwosu, and Roseline Nnamani.
- They were instructed to return any university property and leave the campus immediately.
- The National Universities Commission and the students’ sponsors have been notified.
- Goodluck Iwuamadi was exonerated following the committee’s recommendation.
