
Police arrest man for fake pilgrimage scam in Ibadan
A man identified as Kehinde Makinde, also known as Pastor Kenny, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command in Ibadan. He allegedly collected ₦2.5 million from 18 fellowship members by promising them a government-sponsored trip to Jerusalem and a cash reward. The police revealed that he also deceived victims under the pretext of spiritual deliverance in Ogun, Oyo, and Osun States. DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi stated that the suspect is still in custody as investigations continue.
