Army rescues abducted Edo farmer and foils ransom plot
Troops from the 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, working with the Nigeria Police Force, have rescued Mr Lucky Egbiki, a 50-year-old farmer who was kidnapped in Okehussan, Ubiaja, Edo State. The operation was based on credible intelligence and involved luring the kidnappers using ransom negotiations. During the rescue, one kidnapper was killed and the N1.5 million ransom was recovered. The Army praised its personnel for their professionalism and called on residents to continue supporting security efforts.
