Nigeria’s U-19 cricket team heads to Rwanda for World Cup qualifiers
Nigeria’s Under-19 men’s cricket team, known as the Junior Yellow Greens, have left Lagos for Rwanda to compete in the ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Qualifier Division Two. The fourteen-man squad, led by captain Rahmon Ali, will play five group-stage matches as they aim for promotion to Division One. The team was selected after a rigorous multi-phase process involving camps in Abuja and Lagos. Head coach Daniel Gim says their ambitions go beyond just qualifying from Division Two.
