FG boosts grid with new 60.82MW renewable mini-grids
The Federal Government, via the Rural Electrification Agency, is rolling out decentralised mini-grid projects to add 60.82 megawatts of renewable power to the national grid. The latest milestone includes a 13.92MW hybrid solar project in Yobe State, supported by the World Bank. Mai Mala Buni and Dr Abba Abubakar Aliyu highlighted the impact on local economies and infrastructure. The REA is also planning further projects to expand electricity access in more communities.
