Customs seize wildlife products and fuel worth ₦362m in Adamawa, Taraba
The Nigeria Customs Service in Adamawa and Taraba states has intercepted smuggled goods valued at over ₦362 million. Mohammed Tako, the Controller, revealed the confiscated items include pangolin scales, ivory tusks, and large quantities of fuel. Several suspects are under investigation, and the operation was credited to intelligence-led efforts. Multiple seizures occurred across different locations, with authorities vowing strict enforcement of the law.

- On Thursday, 18th June 2026, 370 jerry cans of PMS were seized along the Goshindan-Belal axis.
- On Monday, 29th June, 2026, 308 jerry cans of PMS and 64 pieces of raw donkey skin were intercepted.
- The operations were carried out under the Nigeria Customs Service Act, 2023, and offenders will face prosecution and asset forfeiture.
