Seventeen relatives of terrorists surrender to troops in Borno
A total of 17 family members linked to Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad have surrendered to troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Borno State. According to Capt. Muhammed Goni, 16 individuals gave themselves up in Konduga, while one surrendered in Bama. The Nigerian Army says the sustained military pressure led to these voluntary surrenders. The individuals are now in military custody for profiling and debriefing.

- The surrendered individuals cited ongoing military pressure as the main reason for their decision.
- ₦92,000 was recovered from the group during the surrender process.
- All 17 individuals are currently in military custody and will undergo further profiling, debriefing, and rehabilitation as required.
