Repairs begin on Kano eastern bypass to ease congestion
The Federal Roads Maintenance Agency has started fixing the Kano Eastern Bypass to address traffic congestion in the city. Sarfil Umar, the supervising engineer, said about 70 FERMA staff and other workers are handling the repairs through direct labour. The bypass is a key route for trucks and commercial vehicles, linking Kano to neighbouring states. The project aims to improve road safety, drainage, and night-time visibility for motorists.
