NSCDC detains man accused of damaging forest reserve fence in Jigawa
A 46-year-old man, Abdullahi Muhammad, has been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa for allegedly vandalising the perimeter fence at the Gabasmari Forest Reserve. The arrest was made possible through credible intelligence and collaboration with local community members. The damaged fence is part of the Great Green Wall Project, which aims to combat desertification and protect forest ecosystems.
