
Abuja businessman arraigned for alleged N15m fund misappropriation
Aminu Datti Ahmed, CEO of Blackrock Apartments & Suites Limited, has been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over an alleged N15 million fraud. The EFCC brought the case before Justice M.S. Idris at the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Jabi, Abuja. The commission claims that Aminu Datti Ahmed dishonestly converted funds mistakenly credited to his account. The court has set a future date for the commencement of the trial.

- The funds were allegedly meant for Braverock Investment Limited but were credited to Aminu Datti Ahmed’s Taj Bank account.
- The alleged offence is said to contravene Section 308 and is punishable under Section 309 of the Penal Code Law.
- Aminu Datti Ahmed pleaded not guilty, and was granted bail in the sum of N10 million with two sureties.
- The trial was adjourned until October 21, 2026, for commencement.
