Navy shuts down illegal fuel storage site in Rivers
The Nigerian Navy has dismantled an illegal fuel storage and distribution facility in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State. According to a statement by Navy Captain Abiodun Folorunsho, about 13,000 litres of suspected illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil were recovered during the operation. The facility was equipped with large storage tanks, reservoirs, drums, and hoses used for unlawful petroleum activities. The Navy says investigations are ongoing to identify those involved in the operation.
