Four arrested for alleged theft of roofing sheets at Jigawa school
Four suspects, including a security guard, have been arrested for allegedly stealing aluminium roofing sheets from the School of Nursing in Hadejia, Jigawa State. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) intercepted the suspects during a routine surveillance operation. Badruddeen Tijjani, the NSCDC spokesperson, said the suspects were caught behind the school’s perimeter fence with roofing sheets believed to have been removed from ongoing renovation work. The NSCDC has urged the school to improve its internal security to prevent similar incidents.
What happened
