Customs seize ₦59m expired drugs and hand them to NAFDAC
The Nigeria Customs Service, Port Harcourt Area I Command, has handed over expired pharmaceutical products valued at over ₦59 million to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). The handover was witnessed by representatives from several security agencies and industry stakeholders. Comptroller Salamatu Atuluku emphasized the importance of preventing harmful drugs from reaching the public. Pharm. Adepoju Raufu of NAFDAC assured that the expired drugs would be safely disposed of according to regulations.
