LAWMA repairs Olusosun Landfill road to ease Lagos waste backlog
The Lagos Waste Management Authority has repaired a key access road at the Olusosun Landfill in Ojota to improve waste disposal and address refuse accumulation in Lagos. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, Managing Director of LAWMA, highlighted that the project was completed by ZoomLion Nigeria Limited as part of its corporate social responsibility. He clarified that the landfill remains operational, with efforts underway to gradually phase out activities while maintaining waste disposal. Olugbenga Adebola, president of the Association of Waste Managers of Nigeria (Lagos Branch), praised the development as a significant step for waste management in the state.
