The report highlights that prolonged insecurity, displacement, and repeated disruptions have increased pressure on teachers and weakened the education system. Nearly half of schools in affected communities have faced temporary closures, with some areas seeing a 37% drop in enrolment since 2020. The report found that 65% of households had at least one child out of school, and dropout rates are 23% higher among girls than boys. Adedeji Adeniran, Director of Research at CSEA, emphasized the importance of education and called for more investment and support to address ongoing challenges in Borno and the North-East.
