
Police arrest nine for highway extortion in Delta
Nine suspects have been arrested by the Delta State Police Command in a crackdown on illegal roadblocks and unauthorised revenue collection. The operation was carried out in compliance with a directive from the Federal Government to curb extortion and criminal activities on highways. SP Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer, stated that the enforcement targeted notorious locations disrupting motorists. The police have assured the public that similar operations will continue across the state.
