Nigerian archers achieve record medal haul at African championships
Nigeria made history at the 15th African Archery Championships in Oran, Algeria, securing seven medals in their most successful outing to date. The team, led by Faith Adekogbe, Mandu Eteidung, and Precious Fanny-Amun, won their first-ever team gold in the barebow women’s event. Adekogbe emerged as the standout performer, collecting three medals during the championships. The Nigerian delegation was the largest ever sent to the African Championships, reflecting growing investment in the sport.
