Residents oppose restarting kingship selection in Aramoko-Ekiti
Residents of Aramoko-Ekiti, led by the Oduduwa Citizen Liberation Vanguard, have voiced strong opposition to restarting the selection process for a new Alara of Aramoko-Ekiti. They insist that the process already conducted should continue according to the existing chieftaincy law. The stool became vacant after the death of Oba Adegoke Adeyemi, who died in August 2025 at the age of 82. The group has called on Governor Biodun Oyebanji to uphold the Ekiti State Chieftaincy Declaration (2024) and conclude the process without interference.
