Army chief urges private sector to boost military and veterans’ welfare
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has called for increased private sector involvement in supporting military infrastructure and veterans’ welfare. During a meeting with Dr Ubon Udoh of the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative at the Army Headquarters in Abuja, he highlighted the importance of such partnerships for national security and development. Shaibu praised the contributions of the BUA Group and ASR Africa to the Nigerian Army, particularly in healthcare and accommodation projects. He also encouraged other organisations to follow their example in supporting the armed forces.
