Plateau council bans unauthorised herders from settling
The Qua’an-Pan Local Government Area in Plateau State has prohibited unauthorised herders from settling in the area. The council, led by Dr Christopher Manship, announced the move to strengthen security and maintain peace among residents. The directive was made during a stakeholders’ meeting with traditional rulers and leaders of Miyetti Allah. Community leaders and herders’ representatives have pledged to support the new measures.
