Nigeria falls to 90th in global passport ranking
Nigeria has dropped to 90th place in the latest Henley Passport Index, with its passport holders able to access 44 destinations without a visa in advance. The July 2026 global ranking, released by Henley & Partners, shows Nigeria slipped one spot from its previous position. The country now shares its ranking with the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Turkmenistan. Other African countries like South Africa, Botswana, and Ghana performed better in the index.
