Ondo labour unions accuse hospital of targeting union members
The organised labour unions in Ondo State have accused the management of the Federal University of Technology Akure Teaching Hospital of victimising workers for their union activities. The Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress allege that hospital staff are being harassed and excluded from agreements for belonging to unions. Demola Olopade and Clement Fatwase signed a letter demanding the hospital end these practices. The hospital's Chief Medical Director, Prof Olusegun Ojo, has denied all allegations.
