
ISWAP attack on Borno polytechnic hostel leaves three dead, 46 rescued
Three students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno, lost their lives after suspected Islamic State West Africa Province terrorists attacked their temporary hostel in Monguno, Borno State. Security forces, including troops of Operation Hadin Kai and the Nigeria Police Mobile Force, intervened and successfully rescued 46 other students. The students were using the Federal Government Girls College as a temporary hostel when the attack occurred. Capt Muhammed Goni confirmed that all rescued students are medically stable and no abductions took place.
