Saudi-backed programme empowers vulnerable people in Kwara
The Kwara State Government has praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for supporting a major empowerment initiative for vulnerable Nigerians. The programme, funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre and implemented by Abubakar As-Siddiq Philanthropic Home, provides motorcycles, tricycles, and vocational training to beneficiaries in Kwara State and the Federal Capital Territory. Kayode Alabi, Deputy Governor of Kwara, described the intervention as life-changing and aligned with the state’s poverty reduction efforts. Mariam Nna-Fatimah, Commissioner for Social Development, highlighted the focus on sustainable empowerment and economic inclusion.
