
Explosion at substation causes blackout in Enugu communities
Several parts of Enugu metropolis have been left without electricity after an explosion at the Gariki Injection Substation. Emeka Ezeh, spokesperson for MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited, confirmed the incident and said it affected communities served by the Army and Gariki 11kV feeders. The company has started assessing the damage and working on restoring power. MainPower apologised for the inconvenience and urged customers to be patient.
