NIPR cautions against unlicensed PR professionals
The Nigeria Institute of Public Relations has raised concerns about the increasing number of unlicensed practitioners in the field. Rev. Francis Asuk, Chairman of the Rivers State chapter of NIPR, warned that these individuals are harming the profession’s reputation and misleading organisations. The warning was delivered during a lecture marking the 2026 World Public Relations Day in collaboration with Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. The institute emphasised the importance of only licensed professionals handling strategic communication roles.
