Anglican Church appoints four new bishops for Nigerian dioceses
The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has elected four new bishops to lead dioceses across the country. The announcement was made by The Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, Primate of the Church of Nigeria, at the close of the Episcopal Synod in Port Harcourt. The newly elected bishops will be consecrated during the General Synod in The Diocese of Remo in September. Members of the church have been urged to support the bishops-elect in prayer as they prepare to assume their new roles.

- Four new bishops have been elected for the Dioceses of Makurdi, Uyo, Ekiti Oke, and Awori.
- The bishops-elect are Ven. Dr. Godwin Tersoo Simon Yakela, Ven. Dr. Kingsley Ogbonda, Ven. Dr. Julius Oyediran, and Ven. Dr. Olayemi Fatusi.
