
Police find illegal gun and ammo in Akwa Ibom home
Officers from the Akwa Ibom State Police Command have recovered an illegal firearm and live ammunition from the residence of Edet George in Ikot Akpan Afaha Village. The operation was carried out after reports that the suspect was using the weapon to threaten members of his community and family. According to DSP Timfon John, a thorough search led to the discovery of a single-barrel gun and eight live cartridges. The police are now investigating the source and legality of the weapon.
