SERAP urges probe into ₦6.3bn constituency project funds
The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on Senate President Godswill Akpabio and House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas to investigate allegations of diversion or non-accounting of over ₦6.3 billion in constituency project funds. In a letter dated June 27, 2026, SERAP referenced findings from the Auditor-General’s 2022 Annual Report, published on September 9, 2025. The group demanded that anti-corruption agencies be involved and that those found culpable be prosecuted. SERAP also threatened legal action if the National Assembly fails to act within seven days.
