Police arrest two men suspected of cult activities in Ilorin
Two men suspected of being cult members have been arrested by the Kwara State Police Command in Ilorin. The suspects, Abdullahi Omotoho and Abdullahi Kawu (also known as “B-Red”), were apprehended in separate operations after credible intelligence and surveillance. A locally made firearm was recovered during the arrest. The police say both suspects are in custody and are helping with ongoing investigations.

- Abdullahi Omotoho, 33, was arrested as a suspected member of the Klans-Avea cult group in Ilorin.
- A locally fabricated Beretta pistol was recovered from one of the suspects during the operation.
- Intelligence from the first arrest led to the capture of Abdullahi Kawu, also known as “B-Red.”
- The police stated that investigations have provided useful leads about other criminal gangs in the area.
- The state Commissioner of Police, Ojo Adekimi, praised the operatives for their professionalism and said efforts to combat cultism and violent crimes would continue.
