
Three arrested in Osun for alleged possession of human skull
Three suspects have been arrested by the Osun State Police Command for allegedly possessing a human skull exhumed from a family grave. The command’s Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, revealed that the incident was reported after a resident discovered the tampered grave of his late elder brother. The police acted swiftly on the report and recovered the suspected human skull. Investigations are ongoing, and efforts are being made to apprehend another suspect who is currently at large.
What happened
- Abiodun Ojelabi stated that a resident reported on June 17 that he found his late elder brother’s grave tampered with during a visit on June 15.
- Police arrested Ogunsola Ojo, who allegedly implicated Ayeloja Lattef, Azeez Rasheed, and Kunle Fatai (still at large).
- A search at Kunle Fatai’s residence led to the recovery of the suspected human skull in an uncompleted building beside his house.
- The recovered skull has been documented and registered as an exhibit by the police.
- The arrested suspects will be charged in court after the investigation is concluded.
