
Tinubu sets up national health tech office, names first coordinator
President Bola Tinubu has approved the creation of the National Health Technology and Data Analytics Office to oversee Nigeria’s digital health initiatives. Dr Obi Adigwe, Director-General of the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development, has been appointed as the office’s first National Coordinator. The new office will operate under the Office of the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare. Its goal is to unify digital health efforts across public and private sectors without replacing existing health agencies.
