
Police free Abuja woman after months in chains by brother
A woman named Grace Aniekuoku was rescued by police after being chained and locked in a room by her brother, Chinedu Aniekuoku, in Abuja. The case was described by FCT Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Sanusi, as one of the most dehumanising his officers had ever seen. Police acted after receiving a distress call, and found the victim in extremely poor condition. Investigations revealed a disturbing motive involving the disappearance of the victim’s son.
