
FAAN investigates staff over alleged gold smuggling case
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has launched a probe into allegations of gold smuggling involving its staff. Ali Baffa, a member of the Aviation Security section, was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly attempting to smuggle gold worth billions of naira. The EFCC claims that Baffa and two others tried to bypass security at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.
