
Police rescue nine after attempted kidnapping in Katsina
The Katsina State Police Command prevented a kidnapping and saved nine people after a swift response to an attack on the Katsina–Kankara highway. The incident involved a red Volkswagen Golf III carrying 11 passengers, which was intercepted by suspected armed bandits at Tashar Kanya Village. Police engaged the attackers in a gunfight, forcing them to flee. Two victims, including the driver, remain missing as efforts to locate them continue. CP Ali Umar Fage praised the officers for their quick action.
