NDLEA destroys large quantity of drugs in Edo State
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has destroyed over 73,000 kilogrammes of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in Edo State. The destruction exercise took place in Benin City and included cannabis, tramadol, codeine, methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin. Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd.), Chairman of the NDLEA, emphasized the agency’s commitment to fighting drug trafficking and substance abuse. The Edo State Government and other stakeholders pledged continued support and collaboration in the fight against illicit drugs.
What happened
- The NDLEA destroyed 73,463.21 kilogrammes of drugs valued at N2.8bn in Edo State.
