
Security agencies stop attempted kidnap of WAEC students in South East
Operatives of the Department of State Services and the Nigerian Army have prevented an attempted abduction of students sitting for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination in the South East. The targeted schools were in Enugu, Anambra, and Imo states. Security forces acted on intelligence, raiding armouries linked to the outlawed Eastern Security Network. Several suspects were arrested and a large cache of weapons was recovered.
