AFN vice president announces cash rewards for athletes at Lagos trials
The Athletics Federation of Nigeria’s Second Vice President, Akuchukwu Aghazu, has launched a new reward scheme to boost the morale of home-based athletes. The initiative, named the Ben Aghazu Prize for Excellence in Athletics, aims to motivate participants at the upcoming Commonwealth Games Trials in Lagos. Athletes who meet specific performance standards in selected track and field events will receive cash prizes. The scheme also includes recognition for outstanding coaches.
