Police arrest suspected bandits and recover weapons in Kwara

What happened
- The police operation was conducted on June 6, 2026, resulting in the arrest of Bello Mohammed and Abubakar Mohammed at a hideout in Okuta, Baruten LGA.
- Two AK-47 rifles, 65 rounds of live ammunition, cutlasses, tube tyres, firearm servicing materials, charms, a dagger, a mobile phone, and a power bank were recovered.
- Abubakar Mohammed confessed to being involved in the group's activities and revealed he lost three fingers during a previous encounter with security operatives.
- Intelligence from the investigation led to the arrest of Umoru Saliu (58) on 7th June 2026 for allegedly providing support and accommodation to the criminal network.
