Borno supports freed captives with cash and food supplies
The Chairman of Gwoza local government, Abba Timta, confirmed that the Borno State government donated N8 million and food items to 360 recently freed captives. The victims, mostly women and children, were released after being abducted during a terrorist attack in Ngoshe. Babagana Zulum, the Borno State Governor, visited the victims and announced ongoing rehabilitation efforts for their community. The distribution included cash, rice, corn, mats, and other relief materials.
