Fewer students take NECO common entrance exam nationwide
No fewer than 58,187 candidates sat for the National Common Entrance Examination conducted by the National Examinations Council for admission into Federal Government Colleges. Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi, the NECO Registrar, announced the decline in candidate numbers compared to the previous year. He highlighted that more female candidates registered for the exam than male candidates. Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad, Minister of State for Education, expressed satisfaction with the exam's organisation during inspection visits in Abuja.
