Oyo school abductors issue four demands for hostages’ release
Three schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State were attacked by terrorists who abducted teachers and pupils. The abductors have reportedly made a four-point demand, including the release of detained commanders, ransom payment, vehicles, and implementation of Sharia-related law. Mahmud Usman and Abubakar Abba, leaders of Ansaru, are at the center of these demands and are currently facing terrorism charges. The Oyo State Government has not commented on the negotiations, while security experts warn of the dangers of meeting the abductors’ demands.
