Edo to start forest guards training on June 5
The Edo State Government has announced the start of training for newly recruited forest guards. According to Festus Ebea, the Commissioner for Public Safety and Security, the training will begin at the Police Training School, Ogida Barracks, Benin City. All candidates have been profiled by the Department of State Services and completed medical screening at Edo Specialist Hospital. The move comes after recent concerns about security in forests.
